Β The Eye | The Lips | The Nails

It’s the look of the season.
Not too smoky, not too bare… Kinda like you just don’t care.

But ohhh we do care!

 Paula Patrice eBay

well maybe not literally, but figuratively

I'm selling off all of the crazy fashion, couture and little "trucs" i've acquired during my globe-trotting modeling years.

It's a 300 square foot climate-controlled closetful so I've got my assistant Loni to help me, and it'll take a few months.

You can view the action as it goes down on my personal eBay page (click here) .

If you've got a size 10 / 41 shoe or wear a size 6, this may be your lucky season!!!

Galliano, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, oh my gosh the most gorgeous Gucci vintage stilettos… and hot pink stiletto patent leather Stuart Weitzman boots!

Check me out, please give my stuff a good home! xo

i was shooting for Stage Stores the other day and my agent at Ford emailed me bcuz a client needed up-to-the-minute beauty digi polaroids. my makeup and hair had already been done by the uber-talented Bill Westmoreland so i thought why not ask the photographer to snap a few shots with my phone during our lunch break…

instead, he kindly offered to use his pro cam, snap off a few frames and give them to me on my USB drive to take home.

note to modelwannabees:
– always have a USB stick with you just in case an opportunity arises to get your pic files on set
– always jump at any opportunity to get free pics, since testing costs $500-$1000 per shoot
– never underestimate the potential of any shoot, even if the clothes aren't "fashionable"

and so, in the midst of shooting elastic waist pants, i got the most stunning 10 frames of amazingly lit, really natural beauty shots.

below, my two favorite shots, one of which is to be my new comp card front… and many, many thanks to Tom Wool for shooting these off-the-cuff frames =)

went to a party last nite & had a blast catching up with all my extraordinary friends in 'the biz'!
it was held at anthony's work/live studio, decorated to make a grandma proud!

anthony does the BEST hair and makeup. we've worked together on a few things, and he did my h/mup for the wilhelmina anniv party… which i am still getting compliments on.
no wonder he is booked up solid for clients like cache and saks- and that's a good thing!

so, thanks anthony, the festivities were FAB & so are YOU! xo

top model paula patrice and top nyc makeup artist anthony ismanbert

my makeup artist Anthony used an amazing foundation on me the night of the Willy 40th Anniv party.

it felt lightweight, but it made my skin glow with perfection!
so, i called him to get the 411 b/c i must be flawless every day. =)

He says Stila 50-watt foundation is IT. he can't keep it in his kit it is so popular.
so there you go, from the mouth of the Pro. he uses it on all the celebs.

oh- and i picked up Stila Banana lip gloss. made my lips look luscious!, Inc.

plus i get 3 free samples and free shipping when i order it from i like that!

for inspiration, check out Anthony's portfolio . he rocks, working with Saks and all kinds of celebs.

i found the book "Eat Right For Your Type" very interesting. it isn't another lose-weight-quick scheme, but instead a study of our ancestor's living conditions and diets, and subsequently a history-based breakdown of the ancestral diet based on blood type.

i'll bet you never considered that your blood type is an indicator of where & what part of the history of civilization you're from! Eat Right 4 Your Type recommended by Paula Patrice

i def recommend the book, and i also purchased the supplemental blood-type-specific book that breaks down good & bad foods.

listen, it may not be the end-all be-all of health and diet, but at least you're making an attempt to do something

I love this invaluable book! enjoy!

listen, i know it's a pain to remember to take your vitamins in the morning.
with our food supply so depleted & bioengineered, just put a lil effort into it, ok?
it'll help you to grow old gracefully.

best place to stock up? Vitacost.
my mom actually turned me on to this company & ive used them for years.

my #1 recommendation is Pycnogenol, a french maritime pine bark extract that is a very powerful antioxidant.

my #2 is coral calcium. i wanna be standing tall when im old!

and Vitacost has the best prices hands down!

It's Pennsylvania Pulbic Water Supply! Shocking! It says it right on the bottle. Surprised

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Aquafina Source Is Same as for Tap

NEW YORK (AP) — So you thought that water in your Aquafina bottle came from some far-away spring bubbling deep in a glen? Try the same place as the water in your tap.  aquafina

PepsiCo Inc. is the latest company to offer some clarity about the source of its top-selling bottled water as it announced on Friday it would change the label on Aquafina water bottles to spell out that the drink comes from the same source as tap water.

A group called Corporate Accountability International has been pressuring bottled water sellers to curb what it calls misleading marketing practices. The group has criticized PepsiCo over its blue Aquafina label with a mountain logo as perpetuating the misconception that the water comes from spring sources.

Aquafina is the single biggest bottled water brand, and its bottles are now labeled ''P.W.S.'' The new labels will spell out ''public water source.''

Meanwhile, the new Prevention Magazine cover hit the stands (August issue- don't ask me why it debuts in June) & I'm quite happy with it. I like the yellow.
